As part of our mission, and to increase awareness of our site's usefulness, we are developing a low-budget television show to be distributed on public access television, and also archived on our web site. This show will be produced largely through the volunteer efforts of members of tribe.net, many of whom are professionals or interested amateurs in television, film, and media production generally.

The show will consist mostly of interviews with and performances from local musicians/bands/dj's, taped on location at locations throughout the SF Bay Area. (If a location is highly rated on tribe.net, that will incline us toward taping there). The bands to be featured on Tribe TV will also be selected largely from the web site, which itself allows people to recommend their favorite bands. The more people that recommend a band, the more likely we will be to feature them. We may also allow people to go on the show and discuss (briefly) something they've posted--someone needing a kayak partner, or a call from a nonprofit director for volunteers at a nonprofit, or person looking for a roommate, or perhaps even a landlord who wants to discuss his apartment for rent. Our model here is the very excellent show "The Turnpike", which is created and run in Lawrence, Kansas. See their site for more details:
